Understanding how adults with heart failure feel and function to help them lead better lives.
Based at OHSU in Portland, OR.
OUR PURPOSE
Cardiovascular disease affects millions of people across the U.S. and worldwide. Heart failure is one cardiovascular disease that carries significant burden to patients, families, and the healthcare system. Our lab focuses on addressing this burden by identifying the biological and behavioral factors related to symptoms and frailty experienced by adults with heart failure. We have a particular focus on women and older adults to understand how sex differences and age influence symptoms and frailty. Our studies have been supported by federal and foundation funding, and we have a long-standing history of collaborating across disciplines and institutions, both nationally and internationally.
